“Tim Burton Confirms Wrap of ‘Beetlejuice 2’ Filming with Jenna Ortega and Michael Keaton”
Tim Burton delighted fans by announcing the completion of filming for “Beetlejuice 2” on Instagram. The eagerly awaited sequel to the 1988 classic, featuring Michael Keaton as the iconic Beetlejuice, wrapped up shooting recently. Burton expressed gratitude to everyone involved, sharing an official set image from the film’s iconic waiting room.
Production faced delays due to the 2023 writers and actors strikes, but the team managed to finish shooting after the issues were resolved. Next, Burton and star Jenna Ortega are set to film the second season of Netflix’s “Wednesday” in Ireland next spring.
Ortega, known for her roles in “Scream” and “Wednesday,” continues to ascend in Hollywood. While she won’t return for “Scream 7” due to scheduling conflicts, her involvement in “Beetlejuice 2” adds to her impressive portfolio.
Despite the cast being announced, plot details remain under wraps. “Beetlejuice 2” is slated for release on September 6, 2024.
