Renowned actor Timothy Olyphant has officially joined the cast of FX’s highly anticipated ‘Alien’ prequel series, adding another layer of intrigue to the upcoming show.

Character Details: While specifics about Olyphant’s role remain shrouded in mystery, reports suggest he will portray the character of synth mentor Kirsh, adding depth to the series’ ensemble.

Cast and Production: Olyphant joins a stellar lineup that includes headliner Sydney Chandler, along with previously announced stars Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, Adarsh Gourav, Kit Young, and David Rysdahl. Executive produced by Ridley Scott, the FX series delves into the world of ‘Alien’ before the events of the iconic 1979 film, promising an immersive experience for fans.

Production Challenges and Progress: Despite facing challenges due to the actors’ strike, filming commenced in July in Thailand, with Hawley expressing excitement about the footage captured. The series is expected to resume production in early 2024 and wrap up by July 2024, aiming for a release in 2025.

Collaboration with Noah Hawley: This collaboration marks Olyphant’s second project with showrunner Noah Hawley, following his acclaimed performance in the fourth season of FX’s ‘Fargo.’ Known for his role as Raylan Givens in ‘Justified,’ Olyphant brings a wealth of talent and experience to the table, further enriching the series’ ensemble.
